Deadmau5 Collects Accolades

Deadmau5 continues to collect accolades from the universe, as evidenced by the recent announcement that the Canadian-based DJ/musician garnered a nomination for a Juno Award for “Dance Recording Of The Year” for “Sofi Needs A Ladder.”

Marking his fourth consecutive nomination in this category—it follows his three wins with “All U Ever Want” with Billy Newton-Davis in 2008, “Random Album Title” in 2009 and “For Lack of a Better Name” in 2010—“Sofi Needs A Ladder” features vocalist SOFI, appears on Deadmau5’s most current album 4×4=12 (Ultra Music), which recently obtained Canadian gold status topping 40,000 units in sales.

The album also debuted #1 Overall Album on iTunes Canada. Meanwhile, check out deadmau5 and SOFI performing “Sofi Needs A Ladder” live at his sold-out concert at London’s Earls Court this past December.

Deadmau5 made his last Canadian live performance when he teamed up with MuchMusic and Rogers Communications to bring fans the most exclusive electronic event of the season with ROGERS PRESENTS: LIVE@MUCH DEADMAU5.  In early January, fans gathered at the Masonic Temple in Toronto for a one-hour concert experience which was captured and now available for viewing here. Rogers On Demand (Rogers Digital Cable Channel 100) and Rogers on Demand mobile (text MYAPPS to 555 to access this service).  His next major appearance in North America is set for Saturday, March 26 to headline the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, FL.
