Xscape, the first posthumous album from Michael Jackson, was released earlier this year, and David Morales is paying tribute to both Jackson and Frankie Knuckles— Morales’ close friend and collaborator—with a set of remixes for “Love Never Felt So Good.”

The new remixes are credited under Morales and Knuckles’ seminal Def Mix Production moniker, with Eric Kupper—who worked alongside Knuckles as Director’s Cut—assisting in production.

David Morales’ ‘Frankie Knuckles Classic Tribute Mix’ brings the track in line with the work of Director’s Cut, featuring a joyous piano house base and smooth basslines. His Red Zone remix, on the other hand, is a darker, laser-focused aim at peak hours. It’s a dizzying house assault with bouncing basslines and crashing cymbals. The Dub mix falls somewhere right in the middle of the two main mixes, while the radio mix polishes the Classic Tribute mix with a pop sheen.
