America’s Best DJ: The Last Lap
We’ve been in a New York state of mind for the past few weeks, with a pair of consecutive tour stops at the city’s Marquee Nightclub.
Marquee played host to a house marathon on July 25, with Sharam playing a special first-to-last set that lasted well over five hours. Taking to the decks right as doors opened, he kicked off the night with two hours of uplifting house cuts before taking it to a darker, bass-centric place around 1 AM. Hitting the peak hours of the wall-to-wall packed club, he dropped booming bombs, including material from Deep Dish—his recently reunited duo with fellow ABDJ nom Dubfire.
We’ve got two stops left. DJ Expo attendees are in for an afterparty to remember this Wednesday at the Ego Lounge in Atlantic City’s Trump Taj Mahal, as DJ Skribble will take to the decks for his signature genre-defying performance. Following the Atlantic City adventures, the tour heads down to the dirty south with a stop at Columbus, GA’s Mix Ultra Lounge. Nominee Roonie G will perform, and attendees are sure to be wowed by his innovative video mixing style.
Fans can also vote online for up to five of their favorite DJs at www.americasbestdj.us to earn another chance to win prizes.
We’ll see you on the dancefloor.
