Baltimore, Md.—As the majority of the EDM world visits the Nevada desert for Electric Daisy Carnival, DJ Times will throw a bit of a change-up this weekend.

Yes, we’ll have some editorial representatives in Vegas reporting on EDC, but the America’s Best DJ Summer Tour Presented By Pioneer DJ & DJ Times soldiers on, and this time we hop on Interstate-95 and cruise down to Baltimore, Md., for the always manic Starscape festival at Ft. Armistead Park.

Celebrating its 14th anniversary, Starscape remains one of America’s strongest regional EDM festivals. In addition to presenting DC/Baltimore talent like Tittsworth and Charles Feelgood, Starscape will flex another banging lineup with over 40 performers on five waterside stages. Headliners include Wolfgang Gartner, Dada Life, Flux Pavilion, Chase & Status, Zedd, Shpongle and Noisia. (Starscape is presented by Ultraworld and Steez Promo.)

America’s Best DJ nominees playing Starscape include Gartner, Tittsworth, Dieselboy, Dillon Francis, DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, Kill the Noise, MiMOSA and Paper Diamond. As always, DJ Times will be on site taking votes for the ABDJ nominees, handing out magazines and pushing DJ Expo (Aug. 13-16 in Atlantic City).

Of course, there’ll be plenty of incentive to vote and participate in America’s Best DJ. Fans who vote, fans who Like us on Facebook and fans who Follow us on Twitter all are automatically entered to win a slew of prizes—including subscriptions to DJ Times, gear from Pioneer DJ and (as grand prize) a trip for 2 to Las Vegas for the America’s Best DJ Closing Party/Award Ceremony at Marquee Nightclub on Oct. 7.

This past weekend, a pair of America’s Best DJ events fired up two other dance-music hotbeds. This past June 2, Chicago’s Bad Boy Bill rocked San Francisco’s Ruby Skye club with his ultra-tight blend of deck skills and house grooves. On the very same evening at Minneapolis’ legendary First Avenue club, local DJ hero SovietPanda banged his dance-rock-electronica party Too Much Love, which recently celebrated its 5th anniversary. (A big thanks go out to the venues Ruby Skye and First Avenue.)
