5,000 DJs see Expo's Finest Hour
The DJ Expo attracted more than 5,000 DJs to Atlantic City last week, the biggest show ever, with more exhibitors showing more wares, with more parties celebrating the DJ “calling,” and more of, well, just about everything.
“Had a great time as always,” said DJ Jeff Oden. “I’ve been attending for about 10 years, and I like to attend seminars like DJ Jazzy Jeff’s, just to hear about how he started and where new technology has taken him. I also like to hear new ideas and strategies to gain clients and grow my business, like Jerry Bazata’s seminar.
“This was my 11th year and I think the show just keeps getting better and better,” said DJ John Horne. “There were some vendors I wish were there that haven’t been there for awhile like Digi-Games and DJ Skirts, but I still left with a car full of equipment—although that’s nothing new.”
“I’ve been to the last 10 or so, and it slammin as much as ever,” said DJ Jerry Ianelli. “Disappointed in some of the manufacturers that decided not to show, or had a weak booth. But kudos, as always, to Pioneer and Denon.”
Additionally, DJ Times gave special recognition to the Ultimate DJ Expo Attendee and the Ultimate Expo Exhibitor—attendees & exhibitors who have supported every single show.
Ultimate Expo Attendees: Sid Vanderpool (DJ Zone Network, Twin Falls, Idaho) and John Hohman (Metromix, Pittsburgh, Pa.)
