11-Year-Old DJ Young 1 to Perform at The White House

By  |

Not many people can say they’ve performed at the White House, but Stanton’s DJ Young 1 will have accomplished the feat before her 11th birthday. The young DJ will perform as part of the 136th Annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Sunday, April 21 as part of this year’s “Hop Into Healthy, Swing Into Shape” theme.

DJ Young 1—the youngest-ever graduate of Jam Master Jay’s Scratch DJ Academy—will spin a mix of classic and modern two 20-minute sessions using Stanton’s STR8.150 turntable and M.203 mixer, aiming to get attendees and TV viewers moving in support of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative promoting healthy eating and exercising.
